Residence Life

Residence Life at Concordia is more than dorms and dining halls. It’s the place you’ll call home for the most exciting four years of your life. Whether you live in one of our on-campus residence halls or townhouses—or close by in an off-campus apartment—you’ll never be far from a Concordia friend.

On-Campus Housing
Concordia’s residence halls are great places to meet people. Don’t be surprised if your freshman roommate—a total stranger from Wisconsin (or Mongolia) who likes country music (or speed metal)—ends up being a lifelong friend. On-campus housing is meant to be a safe, fun place for Concordia students to really get to know each other.

Our residence halls - and apartments, suites and townhouses (for upperclass students) - are designed with everything the modern college student needs to succeed: namely high-speed Internet connections, cable TV and lots of hangout space.

All freshmen and sophomores live on-campus in separate male and female residence halls where they can bond over a ping-pong tournament, “Grey’s Anatomy” Night or an impromptu midnight buffalo wings party in the lounge. You can even check out games, DVD players and movies for free from the residence hall front desk.

Juniors and seniors who choose to live on campus can still get a taste of independent living in one of our furnished apartments or new townhouses with full kitchens.

For safety and security, all campus housing is staffed by a residence hall director and helpful student resident assistants (RAs).

Off-Campus Housing

Many of Concordia’s juniors and seniors choose to rent apartments in and around Concordia’s quiet, residential Moorhead neighborhood. It’s a great way to experience the excitement of living on your own without straying too far from the comforts of campus.

The Residence Life office keeps an updated list of local landlords who rent to students and keep up with the fire code.

International Center
One of the coolest housing opportunities at Concordia is the International Center: three separate apartment buildings—one French, one German, and one Spanish—reserved for serious language students who want to enhance their foreign language skills.
