At Concordia, you’ll participate in groundbreaking research alongside distinguished faculty who are recognized leaders in their fields—NASA scientists, award-winning composers and writers, and international experts in religion and education.
Maybe you’ll help build high-altitude balloon platforms to launch research satellites to the edge of space, conduct studies on cross-cultural psychology with a faculty mentor or travel to Rome with a history professor to publish a paper on modern Italy.
With our reputation for advanced research experience, it’s no surprise that in the past 10 years surveyed, Concordia students have achieved an 88 percent acceptance rate into medical school —and 96 percent of surveyed graduates land jobs in their field or are enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation.
Centennial Scholars
Concordia’s Centennial Scholars Research Program is a special grant-funded program dedicated to promoting “co-inquiry” between faculty and students. Every year, the college selects up to four professors, who in turn choose two student research partners with whom to conduct original research culminating in a published scholarly paper.
Recent research projects have come from departments all over campus—music, philosophy, Spanish, theatre arts, women’s studies, political science and more.
